Trump Blocks ‘Very Political’ Democratic Memo

US President Donald Trump has dashed Democrats’ hopes of releasing a politicised rebuttal to the Republicans’ memo.

This outcome was almost certainly foreseen. The Democrats likely hope to make the most of Trump’s move. And you can expect the partisan noise to heat up over the coming week.

The classified memo written by congressional Democrats to rebut a Republican document made public last week is ‘very political and long’ and would have to be ‘heavily redacted’ before it could be released, Trump has tweeted.

Trump on Friday blocked the release of the memo, which seeks to respond to a Republican memo that Trump allowed to be released.

The Republican memo claimed FBI and Justice Department bias against Trump in the federal investigation of Russia and the 2016 US presidential election.

Trump tweeted on Saturday:

The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House for lack of transparency

Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!

Trump’s decision to block the release of the memo infuriated Democrats, who said it showed a double standard on transparency on the part of the Republican president.

Trump on 2 February allowed the release of the memo written by Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee with no redactions.

Democrats said the Republican memo mischaracterised highly sensitive classified information and was intended to discredit special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of potential collusion between Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.

  1. The whole problem with the Republican Memo is that it was a load of Crock
The memo from House Republicans, led by Representative Devin Nunes, fell well short of the hype. Its main argument is that when the Justice Department sought a warrant to wiretap the former Trump adviser Carter Page, it did not reveal that Christopher Steele — the author of a controversial opposition-research dossier — was funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign through a law firm.
This is actually a fairly common — and rarely effective — argument made by defendants who seek to suppress evidence obtained by a warrant.

The fact of the matter is that Carter Page was caught up when the FBI busted a Russian Spy ring in 2012, was cleared of spying in a 2013 court case, he was active in promoting Russia, having been there several times and had friends in high places in Russia, made quite a few speeches promoting Russia and running down America.
As a result FISA warrants had been current and regularly updated on him since 2013, new info must be provided with each update and the FISA judges are pedantic and thorough.
The Steele Dossier was not part of the FISA application, but was just an attachment as even Nunes admits and the whole FISA application was about Carter Page who was only ever in the election campaign with some connection during the transition during which time he was being surveiled under previous warrants

There was also information from foreign (European Security agencies) who as they are under constant threat from Russia and the corrupt Russian Oligarchs/Mafia strangely surveil them and their associates when a serial bankrupt unable to obtain funding in the US or from legitimate European Financial institutions approached them and made deals with them, he and his organisations were added onto the persons and organisations of interest.

However what triggered the FBI’s continuing interest was Papadopoulas’s penchant for fine wine and fishnet stockings.
The information in the Steele dossier has been except for the Golden Shower incident been verified by European security organisations, including the assassination of one of the Russia informants, the Golden Shower is considered likely to be true with other likely unknown compromising information as a blackmail mechanism to ensure the deals go ahead – typical KGB/Mafia methodology.
Note Trump when campaigning asked Russia to obtain evidence against Hilary and the Democrats, (verging on treason)
However the Dutch Security Services had hacked the Russian Operation Cozy bear since 2014, total access to their systems even to their internal and external security camera’s video and audio, they watched Cozy Bear strolling at will through the US government computer networks (Old Windows Networks with archaic security) downloaded whatever they wanted, including the State Department which is why Hilary had her own highest tech highest security private network, which had one chink, it was remotely managed. Apart from everything else they downloaded the complete Government Personnel files of employees, contractors and subcontractors.
They advised US Security who were trying to fix the flaws in security on their crappy windows networks, it was and is whack a mole.
You find out these things on the appropriate computer websites, never on the major news networks and most especially not on Fox or WSJ

Dutch Spies Watched As Russians Hacked US Democrats: Report
The Dutch national intelligence service (AIVD) had been watching the notorious group known as Cozy Bear since 2014, according to the respected Volkskrant daily, and a Dutch TV news programme Nieuwsuur.

The question is why are the Republicans so desperate to shut this investigation down.
As they keep telling us in relation to surveillance of the Public and erosion of citizens rights and privacy – If you have done nothing wrong, there is nothing to fear
